I like millions of others worldwide prayed that the little boy who fell 105 feet down a shaft would be brought out well.
Sadly after reaching 5 year old Rayan Awram he had already passed away.
If wishes and hope alone could have lifted him out of that place then we would have all come together, and it is truly upsetting when a child dies as the hope of what might of been dies with them. When you look at the picture of Rayan he had a beautiful smile and you can tell he was mischievous but no doubt was the centre of his parents hearts and a good boy for his mum and dad.
There are no words for his tragic passing and to read that some labourers used their bare hands for days to try and get him out, showed that there are still good people and hope in the world and even though this has been a heartbreaking end….they must not lose their humanity.
Rayan became the hope of parents worldwide regardless of their religion as we all just wanted this little boy to be reunited with his parents, and his loss will be felt across the world and across all religions.
If we can come together to pray and hope for 5 year old Rayan then there is still something in this world that can bring us all together, and may God grant his parents some comfort from knowing that the world has mourned his passing.
To the grieving parents: In sorrow, we mourn those we’ve lost. In gratitude, we embrace those around us. In sympathy we reach out to those who grieve. Please accept my deepest condolences.
