Below the city of Yekaterinburg in Russia is a carnivalite mine, a mineral used to make a fertilizer that ranges in color from yellow to red to blue, forming psychedelic waves deposited in natural layers.
The mine is closed to the public, but photographer Mikhail Mishainik managed to break in for about 20 hours to bring back these spectacular images.
