Don’t let the fall of a country…

Stop the Foreign Secretary or the Senior Civil Servants from going on holiday.

This is akin to Nero watching Rome burn and chucking fuel on the fire.

The Foreign Office’s top mandarin today told shocked MPs he stayed on holiday for 11 days after the dramatic fall of Kabul – as he admitted there are ‘lessons to be learned’ from the Afghanistan debacle.

During an extraordinary committee hearing, Sir Philip Barton revealed that he was on leave from August 9 and did not return until August 26, nearly two weeks after the government collapsed and handed the Taliban control.  He refused to say where he was on holiday, but disclosed that it was partly in the UK and partly abroad – trying to play down the impact on the crisis response by saying he had put cover in place. He refused to confirm whether or not he was still in the UK when the evacuation began.

Sir Philip Barton
Sir Philip Barton.

Sir Philip Barton is right….there are lessons to be learnt and one of them is not to employ people like him. When are we as a country going to learn that Civil Servants are a law upon themselves and really not fit for purpose.

I would not be surprised to find out that they were working from the pub when Kabul was falling, as it seems that neither the Foreign Secretary nor the Senior Civil Servant were remotely concerned what happened to Kabul, and what does it matter that people were dying….it didn’t stop their holiday. Only little people stop their holidays to actually do some work.

We find out that Boris Johnson had emails opened but not read…so he could say to the Houses of Parliament that emails were read…well he is not lying but seriously!!! One person to take care of thousands of emails just so Johnson did not look bad to Parliament.

Raab, Johnson, Barton and the rest of the motley crew are not fit for the offices they hold. They are the cause of British personnel being murdered in Afghanistan and their lack of ability to do anything should be held accountable to the people.

Raab was too busy on holiday and having the beach secured so that the common herd don’t come into contact with him, and the Senior Civil Servant couldn’t decide whether he was in the United Kingdom or Abroad but then this is the same man who couldn’t hold a P*** up in a brewery. None of them can.

Afghanistan has been a disaster and it is a disaster that is the responsibility of the Conservatives and the ineffective Civil Servants. It is time that they should be fired. There has to be a way of getting rid of these ineffective people and not allowing them to retire with a golden handshake…they have failed.

Afghanistan never stood a chance with the clowns in the offices we have. America has Swampy Joe and Cackling Kamala and we have Bojo the Clown and Ridiculous Raab who was too busy topping up his tan to actually care about anything, and on top of the really bad leadership in the Government Departments we have totally inept Civil Servants who seem to think they are more important than they actually.

Time to get rid as there are people who have been abandoned and murdered because of their inability to get anything done, and there are people who are still there having to hide daily from the murdering terrorists who now run Afghanistan. Was it really necessary to go on holiday knowing that the Taliban were going to take over. Guess that the poor people in Kabul were of no importance to these arrogant people and it is time we demanded some real leadership.

Sack the lot of them.
