A sad remainder…

Archaeologist and a child from Pompeii.

An archaeologist holding the plaster cast body of a child killed by the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in Pompeii in 79 AD. The boy was sitting on his mother’s lap when the disaster began.

He is considered to be about 4 years old.
