For the love of nature…

Rhino keeper Zacharia Mutai reclines with Najin, one of the last two northern white rhinos on the planet at @OlPejeta Conservancy in northern Kenya. Najin, and her daughter Fatu, are guarded 24-hours per day, seven days a week by devoted keepers like Zacharia. These men spent more time with these precious rhinos than they do their own families. The bonds are deep and the keepers have a profound understanding of just how precious these last northern white rhinos are. These men have become some of the northern white rhinos closet friends and greatest advocates.

Zacharia and the other northern white rhino keepers are on the front lines, witnessing the tremendous effort being undertaken to revive this ancient species. An extraordinary team from from Leibniz Institute for Zoo and Wildlife Research
