Together we remember George Arthur Roberts who was a rifleman in WW1 and a firefighter during the blitz in WW2.
George fought in some of the bloodiest battles and was injured at the Somme.
Standing at 6’2″, Roberts earned a reputation in the Great War for bravely throwing German bombs back over enemy lines.
His tribute is now on the Armed Forces Memorial Wall – please visit the wall, find his memorial, and leave a message of respect. Lest we forget.
