Best wishes and congratulations to the new Mr and Mrs Middleton.

We have been informed that James Middleton has married his girlfriend Alizee Thevene in the South of France this weekend just gone with his family and friends, and of course his beloved dogs front and centre.

I don’t normally comment on private citizens and it is lovely that there are no pictures of the day (take hint Mr and Mrs Markle), and it was just a private ceremony despite the fact two future Kings attended, but I have come to admire James Middleton as he was not ashamed to discuss his mental health problems, and his openness has helped others to know that there is nothing shameful to seek help and that the stiff upper lip that so many of us grew up with is not the best way to deal with any situation.

We have listened to his battles and his evolution from the younger brother of a future Queen to a man who has found his footing in the world as it could not have been easy for him as his every move has been watched. He has been discreet and tried so hard not to embarrass his sister and he is a credit to his parents, but for me the fact that he loves his dogs is the most appealing part of him. It shows a wonderful caring man and quite often that quote of if a dog trusts you then I will trust you….comes to mind and he is surrounded by so many beautiful 4 legged angels.

His battle with his mental health problems have been helped so much by being surrounded by his beloved 4 legged children and he has confirmed this, and a strong family bond and wherever you see him, you see them and for me…there is nothing more lovely than seeing a person sharing their love with their beloved pets and pet companies should ask him to become an ambassador as that sort of love is not forced but comes natural.

Earlier this year it was revealed that James and Alizee had snapped up the Middleton's fourth property in the Berkshire village of Bucklebury, for £1.45 million

Whatever life has in store for Mr Middleton the fact that he is so happy around his faithful companions is a great advert for showing that the power of a beloved pet is stronger than any kind of medication, and I hope we see more of them and him, and not less.

I would like to wish the happy couple much happiness and surrounded by their beloved dogs I can imagine it is noisy, messy, lots of barking but never short of love. A nice story to read for once.
