It seems that Alex Salmond should have trusted his enemies more than his friends. It has come out that Nicola Sturgeon’s own husband was texting SNP activists to put pressure on the police over the alleged assaults by Alex Salmond. I wonder how much to his face he was giving him support whilst stabbing him in the back….nice man NOT!!!

Scotland's First Minister insisted she has 'nothing to hide' after being accused of misleading the Scottish Parliament about when she first knew about allegations against him

It seems that it is not enough for the people of Scotland to pay for Ms Sturgeon but also her husband who as the CEO of the SNP, and it was decided to put the proverbial boot into Alex Salmond.

Texts have emerged showing how Nicola Sturgeon’s husband Peter Murrell called for ‘pressure’ to be put on police over an investigation into Alex Salmond – right – regarding sexual assault claims

It was also going to be a tug of war over power for Alex Salmond and maybe Ms Sturgeon was horrified at the thought of him coming back and wanting the reigns back. After all its not like she is loving this job of first minister much!!! With friends like them you really do not need enemies.

There is also the accusation that Ms Sturgeon has misled Parliament.

Ms Sturgeon stated that the first she had heart of the complaints against Alex Salmond was the 2nd April, but it seems she had had a little chat some 3 days earlier. Surprise, surprise she cannot remember the discussion she had. Wow…not that old chestnut Nicola surely!

Misleading Parliament is a sackable offence and lets face she is endless in calling for sackings in between endlessly asking for a second referendum, and I should imagine she forgets nothing and this is nothing more than another attempt to mislead. Baroness Ruth Davidson is right….she needs to be fired.

This is turning out to be a battle of wills in the guise of Alex Salmond and Nicola Sturgeon, and she is not popular despite the SNP winning the votes in Scotland. People forget that the leader is replaceable and more people voted for Brexit than they did for her…..

Her husband has a lot of explaining to do especially and Mr Murrell, the SNP’s chief executive, sent two messages to a senior SNP staffer after Mr Salmond appeared at Edinburgh Sheriff Court in January 2019 which appear to show he supported pressuring police.

The first read: ‘Totally agree folk should be asking the police questions… report now with the PF [procurator fiscal] on charges which leaves police twiddling their thumbs. So good time to be pressurising them. Would be good to know Met looking at events in London.’ In a second text he wrote: ‘TBH the more fronts he is having to firefight on the better for all complainers. So CPS action would be a good thing.’  (Daily Mail )

It seems he has tried to get out of it by saying he did not come across well in texts and people will understand that it is short hand text… Nope it is long hand text of someone wanting to bury a former friend and it comes across perfectly well to me and that is he wanted to destroy Alex Salmond, who by the way was found not guilty. Is Mr Murrell like his wife forgetful or not good at getting his point across, if so what the hell are they doing running Scotland?

Mr Salmond will now be determined to bring her down from her own inflated ego drive and I hope he does it. It was nasty what she did and doubly nasty what her husband did and they are not above the law, nor the standards expected in political life. After all remember the last politician who pressured the police into investigating people who turned out to be not guilty? Yep the nonce finder general himself Tom Watson who now works on behalf of online betting groups. He couldn’t get more odious if he tried.

It seems it is too easy to use the police as a way to get rid of your political rivals or too boost your own ambitions. Such duplicitous behaviour should not be rewarded.

Have we seen the start of the fall of Nicola the first of Scotland…I hope so I really do hope so.
