Political stitch up by the Italian Parliament.

Matteo Salvini is the latest politician to be stitched up. He is going to be tried for stopping illegal immigrants disembarking on the shores of Italy, when Italy themselves were crying out for the mass influx to stop.

He was quite right to deny the ship to land as he was looking after the interests of Italy, as lets face it along with Greece they have been the dumping ground of the EU’s and especially Germany’s project of welcoming half the world in. This was meant to cure Germany’s employment problem and in return the immigrants from the Middle East would get everything free. The reality was bedlam which sent the costs soaring to the countries involved and sent crime through the roof and for saying no-more has put Salvini at risk of 15 years.

Shame on the Italian parliament for doing this and it is no doubt something cooked up in the EU to prevent any countries such as Italy wanting to leave the failed project. A new party to exit the EU was set up in Italy and this is the start, and it is a politically motivated witch-hunt. Salvini himself has stated that “if anyone thinks they are going to scare me with a politically-motivated trial, you’ve got the wrong man”.

He is accused of abusing his powers as the then interior minister for preventing more than 80 migrants disembarking. He could not be tried for actions in office and had to be stripped of his parliamentary immunity, and true to form the cowards in office have done this. Shame on them for trying to jail a man for protecting his people.

Salvini “Defending Italy is not a crime, I am proud of it and I would do it again, and I will do it again” said Salvini on Wednesday. It will be interesting to actually see him in Court as he has stated that the decision to do this and get other countries to take their fair share was actually done by the rest of the Cabinet. The naming of names should be epic. He will now become the centre stage and reignite the discussion of how unhappy Italy is, and it will come back to haunt those who are in power now as Italy is struggling from the Covid 19 pandemic, and their financial situation is not getting any better. Can they really afford this fall out as it will once again highlight the failure of the EU letting in so many immigrants and not being prepared for them.

Salvini’s party are still the most popular in Italy and its leaders expect to do well at the next elections, and this alone shows why it is politically motivated and the hands of the EU are in it. After all you cannot have a party in who wants to drop Schengen, drop the euro and who demands to be out of the EU….that is not the EU way at all and all of sudden Italy are given a fortune, and Salvini is heading for trial.

Any dealings with the EU is a deal with the devil as they do not recognise democracy and do not recognise the people being dissatisfied with everything they do. They only recognise that they are the “elite in Europe” as they welcome new MEPs with that pep talk, and that all opposition must be crushed.

This is going to be epic and I for one cannot wait for names to be named and Salvini to be cleared.

The joy of being a dog owner….

Me and my boy Zeus….he is quite simply the apple of my heart and he must of the memory of a goldfish bless him.

My boy Zeus

When we first got him, we noticed that he would not stop piddling and one trip and a night stay at the vets gave us the diagnosis of diabetes insipidus.

Signs and symptoms of diabetes insipidus include:

  • Extreme thirst.
  • Producing large amounts of diluted urine.
  • Frequent need to get up to urinate during the night.

So there we were with the cutest button on the planet and having a lifetime of incontinence. So, promptly bought incontinence sheets for the floor and since then 4.5 years later he comes up to bed and uses the sheets at night. Just boil wash them in the morning and we are good to go again.

Despite his medical problem and the £30 every 3 weeks for his nasal spray, he is quite simply the most beautiful thing on the planet. He sits with me all day and quite often wrapped around the back of my neck and when I move, he moves and people always know when I am in the toilet as Zeus is sat outside waiting. He is always my shadow, and I have lost count of the number of Zoom calls to clients he has been in…..but it does break the ice.

You see when we got Zeus I was still in mourning for the loss of my other beloved JRTs Sandy and Spud and I know people will think I am silly as a I have a loving husband, 3 great children, a wonderful son in law, 3 gorgeous grandchildren and still a parent….my mother here despite me being in my mid 50s and I know people will go oh give me strength….but there was a huge hole in my heart, and I had stopped being the usual happy me.

Mr Points of Sue had gotten me the dogs when the children had started school and being in a Married Quarter friends were not always guaranteed and it was to stop me being lonely, and they did as taking them introduced me to so many people and they were such lovely little things. We had Spud for 12 years before he passed of cancer and 17 years with Sandy and I still miss them to this day.

My eldest son noticed it and said to his dad “mum needs another dog dad as she is unhappy”…..I get told that I am being taken out for a special trip and within 30 minutes I had the most beloved darling in my hands and it was instant love.

We have many a happy adventure together and I am in the process of writing a series of books on all the adventures that he has especially the one with his arch enemy Zimba the Ginger Cat!. Bless him Zeus is not a fighter and gets picked on by all the other cats and he does not retaliate but just looks at it with a resigned look on his face, except when Zimba appears and it almost like the pantomime villain has arrived in the garden.

He hates planes, helicopters, birds and anything flying and that is the only time he barks. I think he wants to paw patrol the skies. He wants loves from me all the time and because of his demands for my attention, another dog is out of the question as it would break his heart. My mother often laughs when she rings me as I am talking to Zeus as if a child and my daughter often says don’t ask mum which one is her favourite as the dog wins it.

It doesn’t matter whether I am fat, thin, ugly, gorgeous as a super model, clever or not….he loves me for being him. When he wakes up in a morning you would think he has not seen me for hours when infact he has been lying next to me all night. Poor Mr Points of Sue gets one side of the bed…me the other and the dog smack back in the middle having to touch us both. I think we have spoilt the pets as the cats are on there too…

When I mention going out he gets so excited and it is a joy to see and I know that I would not be where I am today without him. You see there is nothing worse than being told as a disabled person that you cannot do things…that is the worst thing to say……and I might not walk the quickest and more often than not I get overtaken all the time but I do get out and he has given me the strength to not hide away from the fact I walk slow or need sticks as he is just happy to be out, and doesn’t notice that I have to someone walk with me as I could fall over….he just knows his mum has him out.

He nestles into me for a cuddle and everyday he must have a cuddle and is so in your face, regardless of how I feel he snorts, jumps and up he is on my knee and then in my face and you can hear me giggling and he doesn’t notice if I am struggling to get out of a chair or wracked in pain….. and when I am confined to bed he just wants me and to be by my side.

I always sad that a house is not a home without a dog. I did not realise just how much of a feel good factor such a little thing could have when you have hit the lowest. I think he has made me more like the person I was and being able to mummy him makes me feel as though I am not useless.

The only thing he does that I cannot get him out of is lying down on every walk when he sees a dog….I can understand Alsatian but not a terrier and he does not bark. When he was born he had a perfect little love heart on his nose and I am convinced that was for me and I am so grateful my son found him for me.

So whilst the world is going to hell in a handbasket I have my beautiful little boy who is resting at my feet right now to look at and know that everything is alright…..however, he will probably love any burglar than attack him so no good as a guard dog, and they need to be more scared of the cats than the dog and it comes to something when the postman knocks on to give him a hug……

Peddlers of hate…..

I find the subject of denying the holocaust extremely sad and personal especially after having traced my husband’s family and seeing a considerable number of them stop at Belarus in 1942.  There is no further entry of them, and it does not take too much of a stretch of the imagination to realise that they were murdered by the Nazis in WW2, for being nothing more than Jewish.

This is why I find  it so shameful and get so angry that there are holocaust deniers still some 75 years since the war ended despite the videos, the survivors and the articles left behind to show that it happened.  I can remember when I was old enough dad telling me about the concentration camp his unit had liberated, and never had he seen a living hell before and how man could be so inhuman to others and his dislike of the Germans never went away….as he said he has seen what they were capable of and in his eyes it was monstrous.

I myself have lived in Germany and unlike my dad’s first venture into the country I found the people to be very pleasant.  Infact, in our married quarter the shortly to retire RAF chap next door had a much older wife by some 15 years and in 1998 she was already 70, and one day she asked if I would accompany her to church.  I politely declined and explained that whilst I am catholic, my husband is Jewish and the look of horror oh her face.  Not sure what I had said as she could not leave quick enough and I thought oh here we go…..but an hour later she had appeared at our door with a cake and asked could she come in to explain her quick exit.

I invited her in, and she told me that when she heard my husband was Jewish she was expecting me to discuss the holocaust with her, and to state my disgust of the German nation and that she herself was so ashamed.  I felt very sad for her as to think that some 53 years later she felt that she still had to find an apology.  I explained that I doubt for one minute she would have ever imagined that she would have a Jewish family living next door and that I did not hold any hatred nor blame…how could I, I wasn’t there and neither was my husband….so how can I take offence at something that we did not go through?      After all she was a lovely pleasant lady (and the cake was beautiful) and we spent the afternoon with her telling me what life was like as a young girl under Nazi Germany, and not once did this lady try to deny the holocaust but told me that it was the duty of all Germans to make sure it didn’t happen again.   We ended up I am pleased to say friends and I was able to enjoy the German culture and learn something about how unbearable life was for her at the end of the war.  It kind of opened both of our eyes to the sensitivity as even 50 plus years later it was something that was not openly discussed between relatives in Germany.

Fast forward some 30 years and it seems that it is open season on Jews for the most vile, disgusting, and pathetic rants from vile, disgusting, pathetic individuals such as Wiley CEO.  These god-awful people have a platform because Facebook is not taking its duty seriously.  I understand that people have a freedom of speech but not a freedom to hurt and to whip up the ugly hate mob for nothing more than the people they are opposing are of a different religion.  Being Jewish is not a race, it is not a form of alien being but a religion and throughout history they have been the whipping boys of every nut, psychopath, murderer, and poor excuse for a human being.  Even in the middle ages England was expelling the Jewish people and they have been persecuted for centuries.

The problem is that often the success of the Jewish people is misconstrued.  The Jewish people work hard for a living and it is through that hard work that they acquire the wealth that is now used to knock them with.  Here is an idea, if you want the same wealth…..work for it…..don’t cry at home blaming others for your failure.

Mark Zuckerberg and his moral compass parted ways a considerably long time ago.  Do we really think he cares what these hate preachers say?  Why would he, he gets revenue from every time it is exposed in the papers because people and their natural curiosity click on it….and hey presto…more money for Zuckerberg.

For a CEO of a company to allow such hate speaks a lot of volumes about him.  It is not acceptable that he bleats oh we are trying our best to keep it free of hate speeches….trying is not good enough.  The rise of hatred against the Jewish people is because of the media platforms they have and the private groups where they can call the people they despise….and it really is stupid as they despising success as I doubt that many of them really know the Jewish people?

The anti-Semites are the usual failures in life, and they have to have someone to turn their hate on.  We know Corbyn is a failure…..he has gone down as the worst leader of the Labour party, and it was ABC Anyone But Corbyn in the General Election, and when the report comes out on the anti-semetism that was allowed to grow under him then really he should be charged with hate crimes, as he allowed it to fester because that is what he is….a hate monger.

In a time where the permanently offended are permanently offended why are so few shouting for the defence of the Jewish people?   Why is it that all the worlds ills have come about because of the Jewish people?  Are these haters really so blinkered?  Or really so stupid?  I tend to think that they are stupid to be honest.

I am not calling for an end to the freedom of speech infact I am all for people being allowed to express themselves especially in this day and age when some groups are so determined to shut free speech down, but anti-semetism is not free speech but hatred.  It scares those within the Jewish community as always in the back of their minds they wonder if the hatred and holocaust will happen again….and really in this day and age should that be an issue?  It certainly was as so many were willing to leave the Country if Corbyn the Anti Semite had gotten in…..

We know that islamophobia is a hate crime and I do believe that people should be left alone to worship in their own faith free of fear and violence, but the Jewish community seem to be the ones to kick at every opportunity and it must stop.  Facebook must employ if necessary specific people to go through their posts and block any anti-semetic posts.  There can be no such warning as if they have written the most disgusting vile comments once, then this is how these people think and we must ban them from day one.  There must be no platform for these people as it spreads their lies, their hate, and their vileness, and it is people in this country  and others who suffer.  After all when was the last time you heard the Jewish community in Great Britain causing an issue?  Breaking the law?  You do not and yet they seem to be on the receiving end of every dreg of society who has a computer.  It has to stop and if Zuckerberg and the others will not stop it….then Governments must have the law in place to fine them millions as that is the only way people like him learn.  Hit them in the pocket and keep on doing it until they learn or charge them with hate crimes…as by doing nothing they are allowing it to fester and grow.

The Jewish community has brought so many advancements to the world and you only have to look at how many Nobel prize winners there are to see that we should be embracing them, and not having some hate filled nut job drive them away.  Shame on you Facebook….shame on you.

My fitness pal app…a godsend.

For years I struggled to lose weight, always wondering where I was going wrong. …. Well with the my fitness app I found it…… I ATE TOO MUCH.

What I thought was me being good and just eating meals without snacks would shed the pounds. The tears, tantrums and why isn’t it working wailing from me seemed to make me feel worse, and then I reached for the chocolate in the end giving up until I finally saw the light and me in the mirror and I looked awful.

I hated the way I looked and decided to search for a calorie counter and found my fitness Pal app and thought why not give it go. I was shocked at the calorie intake of foods I thought was good…..and immediately started to cut down as I am allowed 1440 calories a day.

You can earn extra calories by exercising etc, but I stay within my intake and save any extra calories for Sunday for a slice of cake. The diary made it easy to use and I have lost nearly 27kgs 😁😁😁😁

I still want to lose more but that joy of jumping on the scales and see it going in the right direction gives you a boost everytime.

It is easy to use and give you hints, help and gives you a 5 week aim at every dairy day filled.

It actually doesn’t feel like a diet …as mention the D word and I will be in that fridge quicker than Bolt, but rather it gives me the daily calorie intake and what I eat is upto me. It’s perfect and I have naturally switched from biscuits to fruit and my skin, nails, hair look better. I don’t eat red meat as I just dislike the smell and am eating fish more and I have more energy and I am so looking forward to being the old me…..instead of a fat one.

Onwards and downwards in weight….

Why are fee earners not appreciated in statutory inspections ?

Having discussed this across a number of job roles with people, the thing that stands out to me is that for a considerable amount of time the fee earners is not appreciated nor their input requested.

The problem is you have the click of office staff who because of being in direct contact with Directors, feel they are the elite and boy are they wrong.

When CEOs send out podcasts instead of getting out to the workforce shows a complete lack of understanding, and that without the fee earners, there would be no CEOs and Directors….don your overalls and get out with them.

There needs to be a complete overhaul of the way companies think…and maybe if they got out more they could see how hard the fee earners work. After all what better PR then to have the CEO of a company going from client to client and seeing what those on the ground do. It will be that tick in the box that companies aim for, but very rarely get ..true customer satisfaction.

Just because an employee wears an overall, it doesn’t mean they are not the greatest employee you can have, as they have probably the best face to face customer asset you have, themselves and their skills.

They smooth any issues especially in inspections. I know having worked in an office, that the whole system is geared to the office and not those who actually earn the money. After all the likes of me and all the others were a drain on the money coming in. ..change the attitude as so many people can pick up an admin role, but how many can do statutory inspections?

As an experienced customer service trainer in a previous life, I can guarantee that the company will run better if you take time out to find out what it is your inspection staff do, and their job as we know a lot of senior directors are doing the circuit of high paying jobs……well here’s your chance to learn…..and increase your customer base as well as lowering complaints.
